The east drive leading into the Lubbock-Cooper High School campus has been dismantled by TxDOT crews today as part of the expansion of Woodrow Road. This will impact today's afternoon pick-up and subsequent drop-offs and pick-ups. Please keep in mind that student drop-off and pick-up on the north (back) side of the LCHS building is still available, and may be the most efficient route for those impacted by drive shut-downs in the front of the building. Parents may prefer to park in the north parking lot and await student dismissal.

The LCHS Chick-fil-A Leadership Team delivered books to first graders at East Elementary last week, while taking time to eat breakfast alongside the younger students and read to them! Each first-grade student received five books to take home! #LCPfamily

The district received notice today that two driveways in the southwest area of the Lubbock-Cooper High School campus will be dismantled tomorrow, Wednesday, November 8. The driveway between the band parking lot and the LCISD Performing Arts Center will be affected, along with the driveway leading into the center of the south parking lot at First United Park. See the attached map for a visual.
TxDOT has advised that these driveways should be functioning again within one day.
If you are an LCHS parent, please keep in mind that students can still be dropped off/picked up using the main circular drive at the LCHS entrance, or on the north (back) side of the building, where there is a dedicated car lane for parents.
If you will be attending the Pirate Football playoff game at Pirate Stadium at First United Park on Thursday evening and the driveways are not yet restored, please plan accordingly, as the loss of these driveways may impact game traffic entry/exit.
