The Pirate Varsity football team is guaranteed to host a bi-district playoff against an El Paso opponent (TBD) on Thursday (11/9) or Friday (11/10) of next week. As this is not a regular season game, season ticket holders who wish to purchase their regular season seats for the game need to complete this form (https://forms.gle/RQqBHyj6TL7KUHjM6). Season tickets not purchased for this game will be opened to the public Wednesday, November 8. If you have any questions, please email athletics@lcisd.net.

The Woodrow Road construction project is now scheduled to begin Monday, October 30. This project will have an impact on traffic surrounding South Elementary, Lubbock-Cooper Middle School, and Lubbock-Cooper High School. LCISD elementary students can adopt a Pirate or Lady Pirate Basketball player for the upcoming season! The fee is $50 which includes a t-shirt and admission to all home games. Students who adopt a Pirate or Lady Pirate will also get to participate in a designated "Pal" game, when they will have the opportunity to be on the court for warm-ups and participate in player introductions! Congratulations to LCISD students Nevalie, Brynn, and Chau, who have earned the Junior Girl Scout Bronze Award for their project, "See Your Imagination!" These young ladies, all part of Troop 6432, created three book carts for local nursing homes that included donations of 78 magnifiers, 156 bookmarks, 224 journals, 62 magazines, and 351 books! The Bronze Award is the highest honor a Junior Girl Scout can earn by making their communities better places. We are so proud of these giving members of the #LCPfamily!
